How to See IP Address Using Command Line in Ubuntu 14.04

You can see the IP address of the computer while the computer is working. But you do not know how to see the windows and linux machine IP. Your computer’s IP address can easily to see. First connect your VM machine any connector such as putty, Mobaxtream etc.

root@Ubuntu:~# ssh -l root 10.55.10.20

ssh command for connect your remote machine. root is user your remote machine.

10.55.10.20 is my remote machine ip address.

root@Ubuntu:~# ifconfig

Press Enter then show your machine IP address. And see some result such as, netmask, mac adddress, ipv6 ip address etc.
